Supervisory Dispatcher

Aligned around a shared purpose, our $3.9B company and 16,000 people work alongside our clients, here and abroad, to tackle their most complex challenges with integrity, respect, responsibility, and professionalism Responsibilities The Lead Dispatcher will provide supervision for the emergency communication system dispatchers insuring that emergency calls (police, fire, medical, hazmat, rescue, etc.) that are received via telephone, TDD, radio, fire alarm system, computerized alarm system and face-to-face are handled in accordance with contract requirement. Firefighting apparatus, ambulances, rescue equip. first aid services, & police to situations within camp boundaries. Operates radio equipment in accordance with Federal Communication Commission (FCC) regulations/local emergency procedures. Maintains logs of calls. Answers/screens all 911 emergency calls/personal telephone inquiries. Performs routine administrative/clerical duties. Maintains office files, compiles statistical data reports, charts, etc. Receives, sorts, routes incoming mail/correspondence and distributes. Uses standard computer programs/procedures to input or retrieve data. Scheduling Providing feedback and guidance Dispatching Team Perform other duties as needed MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED: Office equipment, Computer software, telephone, radio, etc. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Works in a general office environment, may be required to work an uncommon tour of duty including nights, weekends and holidays. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Work may require continuous sitting, walking, and standing. Eye strain and repetitive motion involved during peak periods of data entry Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: Two years related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Program Specific Requirements: Certified Telecommunications I&II Certified hazardous material awareness Experience working with fire, medical, and military terminology. Understanding of affecting emergency plans, SOPs and mutual aid agreements. Able to independently determine which processes, procedures and methods to use to effectively dispatch emergency response personnel and vehicles to scenes of emergency/incidents Experienced with emergency dispatching Clearance required; Secret Security clearance
