SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Engineering Technician in the Facility Management Division, Requirements Branch of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC. Responsibilities You will plan and assign work accomplished by subordinates, set priorities and prepares work completion schedules. You will administer a variety of management programs such as, safety, cost reduction, equal employment opportunity, incentive awards, training leave, employee/labor relations and quality assurance. You will hears and resolves complaints from employees, referring group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to a higher level supervisor or manager. You will be responsible for ensuring Installation Condition Assessment Program (ICAP) and Condition Based Maintenance (CBMM) data is accurate. You will provide technical and administrative supervision to a staff of engineering technician. You will provide oversight of project development records in Maximo work management tool. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade in the Federal Service performing the following duties: 1) Supervise, mentor, lead staff responsible for coordination of all services provided by the organization for supported commands; 2) Providing procedural guidance and expertise to customers/agencies concerning the requesting, funding, or execution of services; 3) Performing visual and predictive maintenance inspections and assessments of facilities systems to include mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, utilities, distribution systems, and equipment associated with building operations. 4) Analyzing facility maintenance reports and utility work type metrics to identify trends and recommend corrective actions and, 5) Providing advice, organization, recommending solutions, and assisting on technical matters requiring extensive knowledge of engineering practices and facility operation maintenance.
