Summary This job opportunity is for an SUPERVISORY EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST, position description D1253000, within the SMMO of the New Jersey Army National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. The purpose of this position is to provide instruction and assistance to state unit personnel regarding Army National Guard (ARNG) equipment and maintenance management. Responsibilities As an SUPERVISORY EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST, GS-1670-11, you will: Supervise, instruct, and train subordinates in the performance of work. Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and management of the surface equipment materiel readiness program and training of maintenance personnel. Develop and direct implementation of mission support plans for new weapon systems or equipment entering the state's inventory for their impact on the surface maintenance community. May serve as a member of the State Readiness Committee and as Chief of the MAIT. Performs other duties as assigned.
