Summary About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Directorate of Public Works. Responsibilities Serves as Facility Operations Specialist for the Directorate of Public Works. Performs duties of the Acting Directorate of Public Works Chief as required. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Managing programs to include planning maintenance activities and developing preventative maintenance programs; Overseeing contracts, applications, and project operations to ensure compliance with technical requirements; Generating estimates for materials and labor costs for a variety of projects; and Performing quality assurance inspections and serving as the Billing Official over multiple programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service DJ-03 (GS-12). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. This position is covered by the Science and Technology Laboratory Personnel Management Demonstration Project at the DJ-04 (equivalent to GS-13/14).
