Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Financial Manager (Comptroller) in the Financial Management Directorate of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic. Responsibilities You will evaluate budget, accounting and financial management programs for compliance with financial policies and regulations. You will serve as the principal financial advisor to both the Commanding Officer and the Executive Officer and other senior managers within the Command. You will analyze financial data to advise managers or senior leders on costs, fiscal allocation, labor funds management, management analysis, or budget preparation. You will direct the administration of financial management systems to ensure various activities (e.g., financial reporting, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, payroll) are completed accurately and within prescribed timeframes. You will manage the organization's fiscal program to maintain compliance with accounting of appropriated funds. You will write budget and financial policies to support the organization's programs and activities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing, coordinating, and maintaining an integrated system of financial staff services (i.e. accounting, budgeting, financial management reporting, auditing, credit analysis, management analysis, etc.); 2) Exercising control over the financial resources of the organization; 3) Coordinating and synthesizing financial and management data to interpret the overall financial results of all operations; 4) Overseeing the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and plans to accomplish organizations long-range goals and objectives; and 5) Advising management officials by supplying financial management advice required to make decisions and manage the organization.
