Supervisory Grants Management Specialist
Summary Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Supervisory Grants Management Specialist. Duty Location: The final determination of the duty station for this position will be made by the selecting official at the time of the job offer. Responsibilities Responsible for policy development, oversight, and internal controls for the award and administration of Reclamation's financial assistance agreements. Performs detailed analysis of the impact of policy changes on related programs and analyze internal data to prepare external reports to the Commissioner, Department of the Interior, and to OMB. Ensures the successful implementation and monitoring of all government-wide, department-wide, and Bureau-wide initiatives involving Reclamation's financial assistance. Performs the full range of supervisory duties. Plans work to be accomplished, set priorities, and establish schedules for work completion. Assigns work based on priorities, selective considerations of difficulty, and requirements of assignments. Requirements Conditions of Employment You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National. To qualify at the GS-14, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-13 level in federal service having demonstrated experience managing an extensive workload and providing higher level guidance in support of a financial assistance program. Supervising a financial assistance program or organization that conducts award and administration of grants and cooperative agreements in support of Bureau headquarter offices. Must have knowledge and experience with departmental and other financial assistance rules, regulations, procedures, and internal controls. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 10/28/2024. Education This position does not allow substituting education for experience. Additional Information You may be required to serve an initial supervisory probation period.
