Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Housing Management Specialist of NAVSTA MAYPORT. This is an obligated position. The former incumbent has return rights to this position under PL 86-585. Responsibilities You will administer housing and lodging procedures to ensure assignment, occupancy, and termination actions comply with established policies. You will assign work to staff members based on priorities and capabilities of the employees to ensure work is completed. You will collaborate with management officials (e.g., public and private housing representatives, law enforcement agencies) to maintain effective working relationships with community organizations affecting off-base housing. You will negotiate with customers (e.g., Public Private Venture [PPV] partners, tenants, command officials) to resolve program issues and operational requirements. You will formulate management techniques or practices to accommodate unique or special problems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Providing technical oversight of the installation Family Housing Services functions for Public Private Venture (PPV) property management functions; 2) Planning work assignments and making adjustments to meet substantial changes in workload, work priorities, and deadlines; 3) Working with the Housing Installation Program Manager (HIPM) to develop and implement short-range and long-range plans for construction; 4) Providing advice, council, and instructions for Public Private Venture (PPV) housing; 5) Determining requirements and managing all resources used in support of assigned housing facilities and infrastructure, including personnel, facilities, funds, and materials. Education Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. OR Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. OR Have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled. OR Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
