SUPERVISORY INFORMATION ARTS SPECIALIST
Summary This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. Responsibilities As a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION ARTS SPECIALIST at the GS-1001-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Provides supervision and oversight of visual information services to communicate information to support Agency programs and issues. Leads and facilitates the visual communication of information to a wide-ranging audience including military and civilian senior leaders, program managers, stakeholders, customers, and those involved in the worldwide CWMD program. Supervises the planning of visual information products for printed and digital publications and exhibits, graphic services products, public facing products, print and reproduction, engravings and awards, and photographic and video services. Advises on the technical advantages and disadvantages of various formats, styles, media, and methods of reproduction. Supervises the provision of drop-off and pick-up services, quality control, and delivery of contract services. Collaborates extensively with senior-level customers, Public Affairs staff, designers, illustrators, and contractors on visual information projects to determine required deliverables. Executes a comprehensive visual information program with a global reach. Manages a $1M+ annual budget. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Experience with administration of visual information elements to include graphics and design, printing and reproduction, and photography and videography methodologies to support mission requirements within an organization; Experience developing and implementing organizational goals, long and short-range plans, and projects; Experience delegating authority and responsibility to subordinates while providing advice and assistance in all functional areas; Experience developing visual information policies, priorities, and procedures, and; Experience advising senior leadership on program goals and policies and recommending changes, as needed. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
