Summary About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is with the 93rd SIG BD located at Fort Campbell. Responsibilities Serve as a RNEC Cybersecurity Division (CSD) Chief and Installation Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) with a span of responsibility that encompasses two branches. Manage the division staff engaged in executing and enforcing Army Information Technology Portfolio (AITP) services, policies, standards, architectures, programs, plans, and budget for Information Technology (IT) Apply functional IT expertise in the delivery of AITP services in recognizing, anticipating, detecting, and responding when an operational, business, or organizational change will have consequences on the delivery of AITP services. Supervise the short and long-range planning for the division's operations, including systems and network Compliance and Operations adherence. Serve as staff advisor to the Regional Director on matters relating to the Cybersecurity vulnerabilities and threats to computer systems. Provide Cybersecurity support and policy guidance to the Regional Installations and tenant commands. Coordinate the work of branches to ensure that short-term and long-term goals and objectives are met. Establish effective communications and a positive work environment. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by implementing and maintaining a cybersecurity program; overseeing and recommending appropriate technical strategies to resolve complex and persistent IT security challenges; developing organizational level policies or procedures related to cybersecurity; and applying cybersecurity policy, techniques, and technologies to enhance the cybersecurity program. The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
