Summary See below for important information regarding this job. Responsibilities Develops and assigns organization plans, goals, objectives, and milestones. Assists the DM Director in oversight and management of all policy matters to ensure the continuity and conformity of program execution. Develops and implements strategies and standard processes, establishes performance objectives and metrics, determines resource requirements, and provides support services to DLA Headquarters and all Field Activities. Directs, manages, and evaluates the broad range of programs and missions for Installation Management in support of the Agency's mission and strategic plans. Coordinates and addresses service support, customer issues, Warfighter issues and complaints. Responsible for implementing the goals, desires, and views of the Director, Installation Management, and the policies and programs of the Agency. Provides technical advice to the DM Director on policy concepts to ensure proper management and effective execution of the Installation Management organization, policies, and programs. Ensures that adequate internal control systems for Installation Management activities are developed and operative. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for a Supervisory Installation Policy Manager, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Influencing decisions that are critical and vital to our National Defense, Congress, the public and private enterprise, and the media. Ensuring the regulatory and legal responsibilities of the Agency programs are met. Performing evaluations on the condition of Facilities and Infrastructure against DoD benchmarks developing facilities recapitalization, sustainment, environmental, security and safety budgets to satisfy this objective within the framework of funding requirements/mandates issued by Congress and OSD. Actively participating in the development of the DoD long-term, life-cycle infrastructure and environmental models that generate these requirements. Using the Agency Activities structure to improve and strengthen relationships with customer segments, components, and sites. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
