Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the MRO Logistics Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. The position will operate as a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist for the Customer Service office, acting as the site manager for assigned plants. The duty location of this position is Naval Air Station, San Diego, CA. Responsibilities You will ensure compliance with the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Financial Management & Comptroller) (ASN (FM and C)) Audit Priority guidance and to satisfy accountability and audit requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring scheduling, the timely induction of workload, assigning shop priorities, and monitoring production status. You will perform a variety of continuing inventory management tasks requiring analytical, judgement, procedural, and technical skills. You will perform independent verification that all materials ordered were received and utilized at the completion of work/project for compliance. You will manage production projects that involve the manufacture and repair of highly complex items and equipment with a wide variety of components. You will manage a team that oversees and monitors authorized personnel usage of TAC code and NWA for shipping and Packaging and Preservation (P and P) to ensure FIAR Compliance. You will plan and schedule the work to be performed by subordinate personnel, making their specific work assignments, developing and implementing their individual training plan, and approving/disapproving request for leave. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining control and records over material in stock, due in, or planned for the distribution system; 2) Conducting review and analysis, and preparing corrective actions required to improve supply support, financial and budget accuracy; 3) Performing independent verification that all materials ordered were received and utilized at the completion of work/project for compliance; 4) Managing production projects that involve the manufacture and repair of highly complex items and equipment with a wide variety of components; 5) Coordinating with management, budget, procurement, and engineering personnel on actions that affect workload production such as: shop layout, work operation sequence, facility changes, methods and standards, quality control, manpower and cost; 6) Monitoring a team's work in process to determine which materials are on hand to sustain production schedules as well as determining the need for process or material changes when deficiencies are revealed; and 7) Supervising and managing the work of subordinate employees for Accountable Property Inventory.
