Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT PROJECT MANAGER in the Logistics Solutions Department of NAVSUP BUSINESS SYSTEMS CENTER. #LI-NAVSUPBSC Responsibilities You will manage personnel in various IT disciplines including software developers and engineers, systems analysts, database administrators, and system administrators. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of one or more enterprise level IT projects. You will oversee critical duties in the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved IT applications, systems, and processes to meet customer and system needs. You will be responsible for ensuring that IT teams are adequately trained and best practices are followed. You will coordinate with Department of Defense and Department of the Navy agencies to meet program goals and objectives. You will conduct assessments and studies to better understand costs, quality, risks, contracts, and customer support and take action to mitigate any potential issues. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates by setting short-term priorities and preparing schedules for completion of work. You will represent the Command at high-level meetings, conferences, and seminars. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing expert knowledge of system software and system development life cycles in the application of project management principles, methods, and practices to develop system plans and schedules, estimate resource requirements, define milestones and deliverables, and evaluate and report on assigned projects. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Leading, organizing, and directing teams in support of efforts for various levels of an organization; 2) Managing an IT workforce based on organizational goals, budget considerations, and staffing needs; 3) Evaluating long-range plans, trends, developments, and proposals; 4) Directing the efforts of team members to attain program objectives; 5) Monitoring duties for a variety of IT programs, such as Data Management, Information Security, Systems Administration, Applications Software, and Customer Support.
