SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST
Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the STRL Mission Support direct hire authority. Responsibilities You will lead and supervise a team, ensuring effective hiring, training, and performance management. You will implement and enforce cybersecurity policies, ensuring compliance with DOD regulations. You will manage budgets and allocate resources to support IT and cybersecurity operations. You will oversee IT and cybersecurity projects, ensuring they align with mission objectives. You will improve IT operations by identifying and implementing efficiency improvements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-04 (GS-13/14) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Supervising IT, cybersecurity, and engineering teams, managing hiring, training, and performance; 2) Applying cybersecurity policies, ensuring compliance with DOD standards; 3) Planning and managing budgets, optimizing resources, and ensuring cost-effective operations; and 4) Leading major IT and cyber projects, aligning with mission goals and improving system security. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
