Summary This position is being filled under Direct-Hire Auth (Certain DoD Personnel), PL 118-31, Sec 1250B(i)(2), 12/22/2023 This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent serves in the Pentagon as the Warfighter Integration Branch Chief and serves as the direct link from the Suffolk division and other organizations in the Deputy Directorate Cyber and C4 Integration (DDC5I), J6 South in Suffolk to J6 North at the Pentagon. Responsibilities This position is being filled under Direct-Hire Auth (Certain DoD Personnel), PL 118-31, Sec 1250B(i)(2), 12/22/2023 As a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (APPSW/DATAMGT) at the GG-2210-15 some of your typical work assignments may include: Performs a broad range of highly complex and controversial qualitative and quantitative analyses of programs, policies, and issues which have major impact on national defense policy in the in the development of Combined Joint All Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) enterprise-wide integration and implementation. Represent the USA, JS J6, DD C5I, or DSD at Joint Staff/CCMD/Service/Agency high-level and multi-national working groups or O6 level forums, meetings, briefings, and conferences where major policy issues and programs are discussed, and decisions are made. Draft and staff correspondence, decision papers, information papers, point papers, directives generally intended for routing to senior officers and civilian officials for approval and signature. Develops US planning, programming, and requirements guidance to inform senior US executive leadership decisions on NATO/multinational policies affecting joint Multi-Domain Operations contributions to NATO organizations. Designs, develops, and directs the strategy and architecture for the service delivery and support models (governance, process, and procedures). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the GG 15 , if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GG-14 grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Collaborating with Department of Defense (DoD), Interagency, and Multinational stakeholders to identify and resolve Joint Warfighter information sharing and data interoperability requirements using modern information technology solutions and standards, in support of Command and Control (C2) capabilities; Directing or overseeing technical mission-essential interoperability and integration enhancements and improvements; Determining Branch structure and approving work plans and methods to manage personnel and material resources efficiently and economically; Overseeing all development and providing technical vision for the enterprise; Explaining recommendations that have a significant effect upon internal and external programs, policies, and long-range planning affecting the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
