Responsibilities Serves as the Branch Chief, with responsibility for planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity's infrastructure vulnerability management program in support of DLA's Information Technology (IT) capabilities and services. Oversees the enterprise-level technology, processes, and coordinated efforts between development, security, and operations teams to protect DLA's IT infrastructure from emerging and existing threats. Provides vulnerability management services across the organization, including the office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Program Executive Officer, Program Managers, Authorizing Official (AO), and Information System Security Managers (ISSM). Oversees the enterprise-level infrastructure vulnerability management program, which follows a systematic approach to identify, prioritize, and mitigate security vulnerabilities within DLA's IT infrastructure. Coordinates the remediation of vulnerabilities in collaboration with stakeholders from across the organization, facilitating patching, upgrades, and configuration changes. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for a Supervisory IT Specialist (INFOSEC), your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Supervises a team of IT specialists and contractors responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing asset discovery and maintaining an inventory of all infrastructure components across company's IT environment. Oversees the detection of vulnerabilities through automated scanning tools and manual assessments, identifying misconfigurations, outdated software, and missing patches. Ensures vulnerabilities are assessed and prioritized using a risk scoring system such as the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) to evaluate the criticality and exploitability of each finding. Integrates open-source and classified threat intelligence for threat modeling to map potential attack vectors and adversaries, improving the understanding of the security posture. Ensures the execution of defensive cyber operations (DCO) and internal defensive measures (IDM) along with other protective measures related to IT's infrastructure.
