Summary You will serve as a Supervisory IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) of NAVSUP BUSINESS SYSTEMS CENTER. Responsibilities You will manage, lead and administer project resources across multiple units involved in project. You will coordinate with line management to establish interim and final delivery milestones and negotiate scheduled with the sponsor. You will monitor execution and schedule variances, taking corrective action when needed. You will ensure walkthroughs/inspections are performed on estimates, requirements definition, design, documentation, code, testing, etc., as appropriate You will ensure all deficiencies are corrected and appropriate metrics are reported and monitor the process and analyze metrics to identify potential changes to improve efficiency and quality. You will coordinate and negotiate with sponsors and management to get needed decisions/policy and oversee user testing and provides final approval for release. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing new approaches, establishing innovative techniques, identifying measurements, and evaluating criteria to determine IT project, system, and resource effectiveness.; 2) Engaging in strategic planning of future organization and IT system structures, and providing recommendations on allocation of resources and priorities for system development; 3) Providing technical guidance and recommendations to senior management and technical specialists on a wide range of critical IT system sustainment and upgrade issues; 4) Developing and interpreting policy, procedures and strategies governing the planning, delivery and integration of IT services and system upgrades throughout the agency.
