Summary This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. The incumbent will provide software development oversight utilizing an Agile software development framework. He/She will serve as a first level supervisor planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over non-supervisory employees. Responsibilities As a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) at the NH-2210-4 some of your typical work assignments may include: Supervises a team of 8-10 employees and is responsible for setting expectations for the branch, performance appraisals, training and development, balancing workloads and schedules, conducting interviews and taking disciplinary actions when necessary Liaison with J6-X, CISO, and AO for PEO-T Coordinates cybersecurity strategy for PEO-T with the Chief Program and Security Engineer Develops and maintains PEO-T specific cybersecurity training plans IAW DoD and J6 policies and procedures Works with J6 to develop and implement standard cybersecurity contract language into all PEO-T PoR development and support contracts Ensures all TCAQ-S and Engineering and Security support contractors have the appropriate 8140 cyber work role codes for the duties they perform. Develops and maintains the PEO-T cybersecurity standard operating procedures (SOP) and provides training to all PEO-T personnel as needed. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the NH-04 if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH - 03 (GS-13) grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Experience leading, motivating, and managing multidisciplinary teams Experience as an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) Experience developing, interpreting, and implementing cybersecurity policies and procedures in all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) Ability to identify, evaluate and prioritize risks in a systematic, comprehensive, and logical manner pursuant to DoD Risk Management Framework Experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring risk mitigation strategies at the PoR and enterprise level. Incumbent must meet or be capable of meeting Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification requirements. Further, Incumbent will be required to sign a written agreement to remain, for a minimum of three years, in the federal service with the Department of Defense in this critical acquisition position. The obligation incurred by this agreement will remain in effect unless and until waived. In signing such agreement, you do not forfeit any employment rights, nor does such agreement alter any other terms or conditions of employment. This position includes cyber work. Per DoD 8140.03-M, the incumbent must achieve the appropriate Foundational qualification within nine months of assignment of the additional duty unless a waiver is granted, and completion of Residential Qualification requirements within 12 months of assignment. Employee must meet continuing education and training requirements for IA certification. Failure to maintain the proper IA training could result in removal from this position.
