SUPERVISORY POLICE OFFICER (INSTRUCTOR)
Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY POLICE OFFICER (INSTRUCTOR) in the TRAINING DIVISION, SECURITY DEPARTMENT of NAVBASE GUAM FORCE PROTECTION. Responsibilities You will supervise day to day operations of the Naval Base Guam Security Training Division. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set short term priorities and assign work based on employee’s experience and the requirements of the assignment. You will be accountable in insuring that all training records are maintained and updated in accordance with Navy regulations. You will serve as the law enforcement and force protection training instructor for the Naval Base Guam Security Department. You will prepare and present training courses in a variety of subjects e.g., Basic Police Certification, Patrol Operations, Use of Force, Rules of Engagement, Search and Seizure, Drug Detections, etc. You will develop, coordinate and administer in-service law enforcement training and development activities for security personnel assigned to Naval Base Guam Security Department. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing, implementing, and administering comprehensive law enforcement and force protection training programs for security and law enforcement personnel; AND providing technical and administrative supervision over subordinate instructors. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement and Alternate Placement Programs. Incumbent is required to wear a uniform and maintain appearance and grooming standard. Required to attend and successfully complete a designated Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC )Police Academy and must meet all certifications.
