Supervisory Product Data Specialist

Responsibilities Serve as a Section Chief in the Product Data Management Division; plan, direct and supervise all functional phases of the section under the Product Data Management Program. Direct and manage the daily operations of technical staff responsible for the acquisition, receipt, storage, enhancement, reproduction, distribution, and future management of all Product/Technical Data for DLA. Direct and manage the development of product/technical data packages and the processing of supply chain workflows in support of the overall DLA acquisition process with procurement, order-fulfillment, and finance. Manage and direct the work of the section, set priorities, assign work based on priorities utilizing selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments and employee capabilities Recommend, review, and analyze systems, procedures, and policies to manage section operations, including its interaction with agency and military service support activities and repository counterparts Develop/Review training material, Job Aids and SOPs (Local/Enterprise) Provides training at Section and/or Branch level. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for a Supervisory Product Data Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Providing complete, accurate, and legible Product/Technical data for successful procurement. Performing Product Data Specialist (PDS) workload assignments and prioritizing processing the work and meet workload metrics most efficiently. Providing guidance and training In the Product/Technical Data management section to all personnel and performing quality reviews of all work accomplished by subordinates. Directs and trains a team in the review and development of technical data packages. Analyzing technical source documents Acquiring provisioning data, specifications, standards, and other engineering data Ability to pull and analyze Product Data Teams metrics Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
