Supervisory Production Controller (Ammunition & Missiles)

About the Position: This position will supervise personnel responsible for planning material and schedule requirements for complex manufacturing in the maintenance, renovation refurbishing, repair, inspection, or demilitarization operations. Responsibilities Monitor, record, and report the status of production, demilitarization, missile, or maintenance funding for multiple projects. Implement production control procedures by applying practical knowledge of production, demilitarization, missile, or maintenance operations. Supervise team responsible for the overall ammunition planning functions such as estimating, manpower, scheduling, materials, and facility requirements. Plan and assign work based on urgency of priority. Plan, schedule, and forecast material, equipment, and labor requirement needs for mission. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Apply production control techniques to determine workload capacity, labor, and material requirements; Plan and estimate schedule requirements in ammunition operations production, renovation, demilitarization, and missile operation; and Lead, direct, and assigning work of personnel This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement GS-12: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade GS-11 (or equivalent). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral Communication Performance Management Problem Solving Project Management Technical Competence Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
