Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER in the Maritime Prepositioning Ships (MPS) Projects (PM31), Preposition and Seabasing (PM3), Directorate Ship Management (DSM), of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND. Responsibilities You will assign work to subordinates, give advice and counsel, plan and establish work schedules, deadlines and standards. You will develop overall strategic planning for assigned projects including long-range program plans and policies, goals and objectives and milestones. You will serve as expert pertaining to MPS fleets such as location, ship status, characteristics, program trends, goals, funding and monitor readiness through onsite ship inspections. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: ???????Expert experience in applying qualitative and quantitative methods for assess and improve various major programs and projects; expert experience in planning and conducting studies and analyses to support the implementation of national maritime policy; expert experience in developing and enforcing budgetary policies related to the financing of multiple programs and projects; expert experience in marine transportation and maintaining ships in Full Operations Status (FOS) within maritime disciplines. . A maritime-related education combined with commercial ship experience equivalent to an advanced degree is highly desirable.
