SUPERVISORY PROJECT ZONE COORDINATOR
Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROJECT ZONE COORDINATOR in the Norfolk Ship Support Activity (NSSA), Regional Maintenance Center (RMC), Product Department (Code 900) of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR. Responsibilities You will ensure safe work practices are followed. You will review, approve or direct work operations. You will determine work resources requirements and allocation based on schedules and work sequences. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience planning, directing, coordinating and supervising all aspects of the work assigned within the work package. Experience adapting to a very dynamic and changing work environment. Experience coordinating with other shops within the Production Department to facilitate work efforts. Experience discussing and providing strategies of operational and maintenance problems with MARMC and ships personnel. Experience setting and adjusting short term priorities and preparing work schedules for completion of work. Experience evaluating work performance of subordinates, giving advice, counseling, and or instructing employees on both work and administrative matters. Experience interviewing other candidates for various positions within the command, making recommendations for appointments, promotions, or re-assignments of personnel. Experience applying a range of principles, concepts and practices, production trade and technical methods, procedures, materials and processes, associated with the repair and overhaul of complex Naval vessels. Experience applying written and oral communication and ability to apply those skills in coordination and problem-solving efforts within the command.
