Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for USACE Real Estate Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Responsibilities Serve as agency’s technical expert on management and disposal of real property. Provide supervision, oversight, direction, execution, coordination, and evaluation of the real estate management and disposal program by leading and directing a diverse team of real estate professionals. Ensure assigned Branch meets organizational deadlines and effectively communicate project and personnel status to leadership. Oversee branch operations by administering training, delegating tasks, and providing guidance to maximize program efficiency using available resources. Negotiate complex real estate actions that are critical, controversial, and/or unusual in nature. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. For Supervisory Realty Specialist, GS-1170-13, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes performing real estate procedures which includes applying knowledge of directives, laws, policies, and regulations relating to Federal and Army real estate procedures associated with the management and disposal of Federal real property interests; supervising a team assigned to execute the acquisition of real estate interests and all associated actions; resourcing a diverse team in the execution of real estate products and services. Some Federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required specialized experience. This job has no substitute of education for experience. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
