Supervisory Realty Specialist
Summary About the Position: This is a permanent position with Headquarters, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Directorate of Military Programs located in Washington, DC. Responsibilities Work with internal and external customers to resolve issues and problems, implement recommendations, and promote real estate program objectives. Collaborate with Real Estate Community of Practice Office to complete real estate acquisition, disposal and management actions. Apply laws, regulations, directives and policies relating to the acquisition of land through eminent domain procedures. Evaluate real estate program activities and services routinely for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Plans and directs functional areas to include special real estate programs, systems, and projects. Resolve program objectives and/or problems in very complex or controversial transactions. Review completed work to ensure proper coordination; technical adequacy of decisions, conclusions and recommendations; and timely completion. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing strategic direction, laws, regulations and policies to ensure real estate mission execution and promotion of the organizational and the community of practice vision. Independently determine methods for accomplishing objectives, communicate and coordinate with high level officials in the Real Estate mission. Lead team of staff members assigned to execute programs, activities, and missions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Managing Human Resources Mission Execution Partnering Real Estate Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
