Supervisory Supply Systems Analyst
Summary See below for important information regarding this job. Responsibilities Provides consistent end user support to Demand and Materiel Planners. Addresses supply chain issues and support tools to ensure the BSM system is operating properly in support of procurement and supply management functions. Defines system enhancements that improve the system and enhance the end user’s productivity capabilities. Participates in implementing demand/supply chain policies and procedures regarding Planning/materiel management information/data systems. Participates in Business Process Reengineering (BPR) efforts to transform business operations to the best commercial practices. Serves as Branch Chief with responsibility over branch operations including: functional systems analysis/design, policy analysis, development of system process improvements, and functional analysis of business operations to include operational metrics. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for a Supervisory Supply Systems Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) or competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Initiating, developing or administering a supply planning program. Conducting or participating in program reviews involving evaluating, advising on and improving the effectiveness of a broad range of supply chain programs. Utilizing, analyzing, developing, documenting and evaluating complex functional supply system requirements. Identifying the required system changes resulting from new processes, procedures or policy requirements. Experience with the major issues, goals, and objectives pertaining to the Planning functional areas. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
