Summary This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY SURFACE MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D1251000 and is part of the NJJFHQ, National Guard. ???????The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a second-level supervisor and technical authority over two or more Army National Guard (ARNG) surface maintenance facilities Responsibilities As a SUPERVISORY SURFACE MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST, GS-1601-12, you will: Analyzes and resolves a variety of conventional maintenance management problems to improve existing maintenance operations, production, and practices that impact the overall maintenance program. Establishes methods and procedures to ensure maintenance tasks performed meet or exceed established policies and regulations Establishes and monitors the shop safety and health program Monitors the organization's use of automation to properly account for manpower utilization and materials management Requirements Conditions of Employment Additional Employment Requirements: -Participation in direct deposit is mandatory -May be required to successfully complete a probationary period -Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation -Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service Area of consideration: CAT 1: All permanent, Indefinite on-board, Title 32 Employees within SMMO.
