About the Position: Oversees and manages Information Technology and Logistics that support the U.S. Army Contracting Command - RSA for its assigned mission. Responsibilities Provides vision and leadership in the development of information strategies to support the mission, vision, objectives, and priorities of the organization. Directly makes recommendations regarding compliance to senior civilian official's/military officer's strategy, security policy, resource management and the information component of national power. Central authority in the development of guidelines for information strategy and management and provides advice and assistance to the Command's leaders for the implementation of information and logistics policies. Formulates policy and provides technical expertise regarding all aspects of information management, with special emphasis on creating visionary plans for future mission and business information systems. Administers implementation of approved programs and projects. Develops information technology support processes to better serve the Command's expanding role and commitments in supporting our mission partners. Provides leadership to the organization in accomplishing the Command's information management and logistics mission involving detailed plans regarding modification and expansion of the system. Control of property accountability in accordance with Army and DOD policies, procedures, and doctrines. Specialized Experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-03/ GS13). Specialized Experience is 1) Developing procedures necessary to maintain the readiness of organizations mission; 2) Monitoring logistical resource to determine the organizational structure; and 3) Providing leadership to employees in areas of supply management. . This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed. You will be required to undergo background investigation leading to the successful adjudication of eligibility for a Secret Security clearance. Derogatory information developed during the background investigation, such as a criminal history, could render the selectee ineligible for both the security clearance and continued employment in the position, if already appointed be approved if eligible under specific conditions.
