Supervisory Technician
Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will directly supervise a small team of Engineering Technicians. You will be responsible for management, supervision, and oversight of manufacturing/plant operations in the area to which they are assigned. You will be required to manage and supervise engineering technicians and operations personnel, both those permanently assigned to their team and those in the existing ORG to which the Operations Supervisor is assigned to oversee. You will perform standard personnel duties, conduct performance reviews, and establish development and training plans. You will assign tasking, review staffing documentation and reports, and monitor cost, schedule, performance, safety, and quality on plant projects. You will be designated as, and perform duties of, a qualification/certification board member. You will maintain technical knowledge of manufacturing operations and equipment, performance management, and ensure employee opportunity and accountability. You will meet operational schedule commitments, manage work and personnel assignments, and prepare and coordinate for optimal operational effectiveness. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-11/12 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical leadership and oversight during the manufacturing of energetics to ensure personnel and products meet quality and safety standards for the effectiveness and timeliness of a department. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high-grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $153,354). This position is located in the Energetics Manufacturing Department MB. This announcement uses the STRL for Direct Support direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
