SUPERVISORY TECHNICIAN
Summary This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. You will serve as a Section Head of the Trial Directors, Facilities and Mission Readiness Puget Sound Section (Code 7151) in the Signature Characterization and Analysis Division (Code 71) of NSWC CARD DIV D. Responsibilities You will supervise approximately eleven engineers, scientists and technicians. You will mentor personnel qualifying as STAFAC and SEAFAC Trial Director/Facility Control Officer and On-Site Installation Coordinator. You will coordinate planning and execution of full-scale acoustic trials. You will determine ship configuration status relative to full-scale acoustic trial objectives. You will develop finalized testing requirements and test agenda plans. You will schedule trial logistics with Test Vessel, U.S. Navy commands and test facilities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-11/12 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing leadership, administrative and technical support (installation, data acquisition, processing systems, ranging systems) for full-scale submarine and/or surface ship radiated acoustic measurements of naval vessels.
