As a Supplier Carbon Management Program Manager, you will lead product carbon footprint transparency and transformation activities in the region by managing projects or subprojects in alignment with the global SCMP team. You will be responsible for developing Scope 3 reduction strategies and GHG reduction roadmaps and alignment with Operation divisions at BASF. This role may require you to travel 15% of the time. **As a Supplier Carbon Management Program Manager, you create chemistry by...** + Developing Scope 3 reduction strategies and GHG reduction roadmaps together with key suppliers and respective buyers and aligning with operation divisions for roadmaps. + Driving the topic of product carbon footprint (PCF) transparency by further supporting buyers as well as delegated procurement activities in alignment with the global SCMP team. + Identifying, evaluating, and implementing opportunities together with the buyers to reduce Scope 3 emissions; developing and leading pilot projects for PCF reduction on corporate and individual product level. + Developing “making PCF a procurement criterion” approach by adapting procurement processes in the region in alignment with global SCMP initiatives. + Leading the introduction of sustainability criteria into contract negotiations, also into embedded procurement when needed, in cooperation with relevant stakeholders in BASF and support buyers in negotiations. + Supporting development and implementation activities of Matchmaking (part of SCOTT 3.0) in the region and acting as interface for data management/IT tool development. + Exchanging with relevant stakeholders to quantify GHG reduction potential. **If you...** + Have a bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related disciplines.
