Supplier Continuity Capacity Manager
Position Overview We are currently seeking a Supplier Continuity Capacity Manager (SCCM) to join our Demand Management Team. Responsibilities Develops and implements actions with suppliers to address capability/capacity/supply continuity issues Provides support and/or leads efforts to ensure supplier readiness and capability for volume increases and product launch Specific areas include case management: Root cause, corrective action identification and follow through, Capacity Verification, Operational Performance, Lean Methods assessment Lead continuous improvement actions at Major Suppliers, to secure capacity to meet production and service requirements Identifies constraints/waste in the Value Stream, and develops cross functional solutions to address, working with internal functions (operations, logistics, tooling, quality, order to delivery) and the suppliers Lead/participate in efforts to break capacity constraints/solve systemic issues, and address critical issues impacting launch or production Assesses supplier capacity identifying actions to ensure readiness for new product sourcing / launches Travel to suppliers and manufacturing facilities, as required Maintain, report, and provide recommended process improvement impacting key department metrics Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree At least 8 years of purchasing/procurement experience At least 1 year of lead experience OR Master’s degree At least 6 years of purchasing/procurement experience At least 1 year of lead experience OR At least 10 years of purchasing/procurement experience At least 1 year of lead experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
