The Supplier Management Engineer III will be responsible for the planning and execution of engineering projects primarily focused on supply chain risk reduction as well as cost reduction projects and all its derived activities through the funnel stages (identification, valuation, scoping/assessment, execution, production release, and closure) related to supplier capacity, continuity, consolidation, on-time delivery, and quality of components or material. This role will also document processes, procedures, and standard work, having a broad interaction and communication with other departments of the organization, in this capacity the Engineer will serve as the liaison between functional departments, managing technical relationships with suppliers and troubleshooting component supply chain issues aimed to maintain the manufacture of our products in any plant worldwide from Hach. This position will also include support of Global Supplier Risk Management in their different time zones worldwide, Supplier Relationship Management, and global Best-Cost-Region sourcing.
This position is part of the Loveland Global Operations team and will be on-site in **Loveland, Colorado.**
**In this role, a typical day will look like:**
+ Drive project execution for in-sourcing, outsourcing, and vertical integration initiatives that bridge the involvement of complex cross-functional teams and 3rd party suppliers across multiple sites.
+ Forecast financial savings metrics and provide input to the annual budget cycle.
+ Develop cost optimization projects with target suppliers and internal teams.
+ Ensure Project deliveries on time to support global procurement supplier strategies (dual source, resource, or insource).
+ Identify potential supplier cost-out projects and develop preliminary Business Cases for evaluation and prioritization driving them from identification to closure.
+ Manage multiple projects simultaneously across all funnel stages to advance in a timely manner
+ Drive DFM product collaboration with the design Engineering & Operations Teams to identify manufacturing process improvements and cost-out initiatives.
+ Develop and Document Supplier Management team process/standard work and continuous improvement
+ Act as a technical and process resource to Supplier Management Engineers II, as well as to the Procurement Team
+ Partner with the Commodity Manager, Electronics in his/her role of managing the commodity, identifying material cost productivity projects, and resourcing projects.
+ Develop and maintain a Tooling database to control Supplier tools’ lifespan.
+ Supports Operations in the selection, assessment, and qualification of new suppliers
**The essential requirements of the job include:**
+ BS Degree, with 5 - 7 years experience minimum in an electrical engineering role
+ Experience in PCBA/PCB supply chain, manufacturing, or engineering, IPC standards for PCB & PCBA, assembly, and test, including solder alloys (lead-free). Experience in board assembly process and equipment as well as in conformal coatings, staking, and underfill.
+ Full technical knowledge of electrical and electromechanical components, electronics, and sensors.
+ Technical acumen in design for quality/manufacturability, component design, and assembly.
+ Project-based execution with tight deadlines and priority constraints with proven results
+ Financial analysis skills, BOM analysis & definition, component pricing, assembly costing, overhead cost modeling
**It would be nice if you also possess:**
+ Lean manufacturing and/or 6 sigma experience
+ Knowledge of Change Management concepts
+ Data and fact-based problem-solving and root cause analysis skills

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $75,000.00 - $103,000.00 USD per year.
