Job Summary:
The Supplier Operations Specialist position at Avnet entails overseeing purchasing activities, order management, and decision making on how to reduce risk and drive inventory, while also aligning procurement activities with business strategies and financial objectives.
Principal Responsibilities:
Manages the order status process, including ensuring shipping and delivery information is accurate in company's systems.
Analyze the data from both the supplier or manufacturer side and our system to assess whether adjustments are necessary.
Communicate the materials teams of any discrepancies
Maintain the system update with the latest dates to provide accurate dates to our sales team
Analyze and action the MRP alerts. Evaluate these alerts using the Manufacturer or Materials guidelines.
Job Level Specifications:
Foundational knowledge of specialized disciplines, industry practices and standards, acquired via academic instruction and/or relevant work experience of substantially the same level.
Work is usually performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. Receives initial direction although work may be reviewed for accuracy and quality.
Collaborates with immediate management and team members within the department or function.
Good analytical, communication organizational and problem solving skills with play a key element into the role.
Intermediate to advanced English level.
Desired to have knowledge in Excel and SAP software.
Work Experience:
Typically less than 2 years with bachelor's or equivalent.
Education and Certification(s):
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
