Supplier Quality Engineer
You will play a key role in the Quality Assurance and Sourcing organizations to ensure both customer and company quality requirements are met. You will travel to the various companies in the supply chain for tasks such as wellness checks, training, surveillance, troubleshooting, etc. Travel is approximately 30% and is mostly local (within a two-hour radius).

Your Challenge
Develop and evaluate supplier performance metrics to facilitate supplier improvement.
Perform capability and capacity assessments of potential suppliers
Lead joint technical reviews of complex purchases following purchase order award
Improve current suppliers' delivery, reliability, and consistency of supply performance
Identify improvement opportunities in the manufacturing & design processes for new/revised product designs
Perform management system and process audits at suppliers.
Establish and maintain relations with suppliers, inspectors, auditors, and customers
Assist other departments as necessary in establishing standards relative to ensuring product quality.
Must be willing to travel locally and out of state.
What You Bring
BS Engineering (preferred) or equivalent
Strong attention to details
Excellent communication skills
Experience in Manufacturing environment
Fundamental knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
Ability to read and understand blueprints/mechanical drawings
Understanding of geometric tolerance
Quality Assurance
Planning and implementing supplier oversight programs
Regulated Industries (e.g., military, nuclear power, aerospace)
Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt / Master Black Belt certifications
Auditor certification
Must be a sole US Citizen and able to obtain DoD security clearance
