Supplier Quality Engineer
Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer Job Description The Supplier Quality Engineer will serve as a Quality Management System (QMS) Subject Matter Expert, assisting management in implementing and improving its QMS. The role involves recommending statistical sampling plans, designing, developing, and validating test methods and tools, and using systematic problem-solving and variation reduction skills such as Six Sigma to enhance products and processes. This position also involves identifying, investigating, and determining the disposition of non-conforming products and processes, determining inspection acceptance criteria based on desired risk profiles and confidence intervals, participating in internal and external audits, providing QMS training, and installing systems and indicators to monitor and report on QMS trends. Responsibilities + Serve as a Quality Management System Subject Matter Expert. + Assist management in implementing and improving its QMS. + Recommend statistical sampling plans and be the subject matter expert for statistical techniques and analysis. + Design, develop, and validate test methods and tools. + Use systematic problem-solving and variation reduction skills such as Six Sigma to improve products and processes. + Identify, investigate, and determine the disposition of non-conforming products and processes. + Determine inspection acceptance criteria based on desired risk profiles and confidence intervals. + Participate in internal and external audits. + Provide QMS training. + Install systems and indicators to monitor and report on QMS trends. Essential Skills + Experience in supplier quality management. + Knowledge of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs). + Experience in handling non-conformance issues. + Engineering degree. + At least 1 year of experience in quality management. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor of Science in Engineering + Exposure to design processes. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Experience in the medical device industry. Work Environment This role is based in an onsite environment within a large building that spans multiple floors.
