Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer
Job Description

Join our team as a Supplier Quality Engineer at our Columbus facility, where we manufacture custom forklifts ranging from 1 ton to 8 tons in weight. This role involves improving and maintaining quality systems for our suppliers. We manufacture approximately 100 forklifts per day in our OEM plant where the entire assembly process is completed. We are looking for a contract Supplier Quality Engineer to enhance our quality standards and contribute to our continuous improvement initiatives.

ResponsibilitiesInitiate, review, and disposition supplier PPAPs.Conduct supplier audits and assess their ability to meet company needs and objectives while identifying potential risks within processes or techniques.Assist in the development, improvement, and implementation of quality standards with suppliers.Utilize MS Office applications, especially Excel, proficiently.Adapt easily to change and work in a fast-paced environment, acting with a sense of urgency when faced with organizational risks.Communicate effectively with strong visualization and data communication skills.Prioritize work and manage time with limited guidance.Problem solve and handle multiple tasks effectively.React positively to business needs and evolving strategies.Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.Perform additional duties as assigned.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Engineering.2+ years of experience in PPAP review and implementation.2+ years of experience in Supplier Quality.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.2+ years of experience in SAP Supplier Quality Management (QM).Additional Skills & QualificationsExposure to Power BI for data visualization.Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position on the 1st shift, based in Columbus, Indiana. The role involves 30% travel to suppliers, typically one week per month. Responsibilities are divided as follows: 30% supplier SPTT or supplier audits, 40% PPAP review, and 30% a mixture of daily lab inspections. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
