Job Description

We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team at our Columbus facility, where we manufacture custom forklifts ranging from 1 ton to 8 tons. This OEM plant completes the entire assembly process and averages manufacturing 100 forklifts per day. This role is essential due to new model introductions and the need for increased supplier support. The Supplier Quality Engineer will improve and maintain quality systems for suppliers and will split their time between supplier audits, PPAP reviews, and plant quality support/inspections.

ResponsibilitiesInitiate, review, and disposition supplier PPAPs.Conduct supplier audits to assess their ability to meet company needs and objectives, identifying potential risks within processes or techniques.Assist in the development, improvement, and implementation of quality standards with suppliers.Proficiently use MS Office applications, especially Excel.Adapt easily to change and work in a fast-paced environment, acting with a sense of urgency when faced with an organizational risk.Communicate effectively with strong visualization of data.Prioritize work and manage time with limited guidance.Problem-solve and handle multiple tasks effectively.Adapt positively to business needs and evolving strategies.Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.Perform additional duties as assigned.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree within Engineering Discipline PreferredCould consider associates degree in engineering2+ years of experience in PPAP Review and Implementation2+ years of Supplier Quality ExperienceProficiency with Microsoft OfficeAdditional Skills & QualificationsProfessional exposure to Power BI for Data VisualizationWork Environment

This is a full-time, 1st shift, onsite position based in Columbus, Indiana. The role requires 30% traveling to suppliers, projected to be one week per month. The work involves a mixture of supplier audits (30%), PPAP reviews (40%), and daily lab inspections and plant quality support (30%). Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
