Description:You will be the Supplier Quality Engineer for our Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of products and services, collaborating with suppliers and customers to meet program requirements.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for driving quality excellence, analyzing complex technical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve problems. You will work closely with suppliers, production teams, and customers to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

-Reviewing documentation to ensure quality products are delivered to customers
-Analyzing and resolving design, manufacturing, and process issues, from basic to complex
-Supporting Integrated Product Teams with reviews of quality data and participating in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards
-Performing assessments and audits to ensure compliance with specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards
-Evaluating design assurance activities and production process methodology to prevent impacts to production velocity and quality
-Interfacing with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality-related issues
-Utilizing lean initiatives to reduce waste and drive continuous improvement
-Making final decisions on product acceptability and supporting Quality operations within a Lab Environment

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have an active secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
STEM related degree at the Bachelors level or above

MUST have a favorably adjudicated SECRET or higher security clearance granted within the last five (5) years

Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection of manufactured products

Ability to interpret drawings and specification to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and able to translate into work instructions and/or PO Notes

Demonstrated ability to use casual analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex

Experience in dispositioning of non-conforming products

Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement

Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Demonstrated presentation skills

Ability to travel 25%-50%
Desired Skills:
Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)

Experience working with suppliers in a dynamic environment

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CSQ) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)

Strong understanding of MFC SAP and P2P business systems

Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements

Strong understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

Experience working with Government customers

Effective communication skills: written, oral, listening and technical writing

Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
