This position is responsible for managing, investigating, and disposing of all raw material supplier claims for Carlisle Architectural Metals. This position will be required to provide metallurgical expertise on steel, aluminum, and coating product quality issues and complaints prioritizing investigation, determination of root cause, and recommended disposition. This position will be responsible for managing the disposition of these claims with the Suppliers, Manufacturing facilities, or third-party entities, where the development of strong relationships and the ability to influence leadership will be key to success.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages customer complaints related to Supplier quality issues, including claims processing and subsequent material disposition. Ensures that Carlisle’s products and services are fit for purpose and meet both external and internal requirements, compared with customer requirements, including legal, environmental, and quality compliance. Drives to root cause and corrective action via formal PDCA methodology and A3 problem-solving tools. Conducts internal and external quality audits of Suppliers. Reviews plant's conformance with standards and ensures periodic review with plant leadership. Development and maintenance of a robust raw material inspection program Management of mill certifications supplied for all raw materials, including maintaining traceability throughout the process. Determines the need for inspections and testing using statistical methods. Coordinates with Operations and leadership on response to field complaints making use of current or enhanced field complaint system. Analyzes processing and product parameters to enable production at consistent high-quality levels. Prepare and resolve blocked Stock routine status reports. Develop relationships with stakeholders to understand and assess the needs to drive quality performance at the plant and coordinate with other departments. May perform inspection of various operations activities and of supplier-produced parts. Recommends and leads efforts for establishing and sustaining supplier improvement processes. As needed, may generate reports of conditions found during inspection activities, notify Supplier Quality management and internal customers of significant problems, and complete documentation necessary to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities. Responsible for performing quality evaluations on standard and routine processes and products according to engineering drawings, specifications, prescribed methods, and instructions. May identify and report non-conformance to known standards using various measuring and testing methods. Provide technical expertise concerning quality systems improvements, inspection techniques, root cause analysis, and effective corrective action. Performs onsite supplier quality systems assessment and evaluation. Communicate identified process/procedure concerns to the broader organization as necessary. Provide supplier recommendations for specific projects and strategy fulfillment. Measure baseline and quantify improvements. Facilitate and assist with process improvement implementation. Monitor future state to ensure the delivery of expected results and benefits. Stabilize process/quality systems for new suppliers. Provide timely technical assistance regarding supplier quality systems and inspection through initial production, and transition to a stable supply chain. Identify and resolve exceptions, root cause analysis, and corrective actions through a defined communication plan. Monitor and manage supplier performance for assigned suppliers to ensure continuous supply chain stability with the broader organization.Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or related technical field. Three years of metals process engineering experience required. Two years of quality assurance experience or supplier quality management in manufacturing preferred. Experience in a technical role within the manufacturing industry required. Experience in an ISO 9001 Quality Management System environment is preferred. Project Management skills preferred.Equipment Used:
