Supplier Specialist Location MANSFIELD TEXAS Hours Needed M-F, 8:00AM - 5:00PM Requisition Number 18209 Apply Now (https://phf.tbe.taleo.net/phf03/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=MOUSER&cws=40&rid=18209) Title: Supplier Specialist Location: Mansfield, Texas The Supplier Specialist is responsible for the systematic execution of daily tactical activities for suppliers. The Supplier Specialist is an intermediate career developmental role, responsible for directly managing small to medium-sized suppliers and for supporting the entire Supplier Management team. The Supplier Specialist reports to a Corporate Supplier Manager or a Director of Supplier Management. ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Develops ownership of supplier, business, and customer needs, and becomes the primary point of contact for their assigned suppliers. • Learns to implement the inventory, product selection, marketing, and pricing strategies. • Works with management to achieve specific revenue, customer, and product goals within their assigned suppliers. • Develops supplier relationships and advocates assigned suppliers by promoting their market value internally within the various departments. • Analyzes assigned portfolio and identifies new opportunities for growth. Learns to identify and recommend unique marketing opportunities for their assigned suppliers. • Oversees the flow of supplier’s new products and technologies, by providing the proper content to the various functional teams (NPI, Technical Marketing, Data, Pricing Management, etc.) enabling them to execute their tasks in a timely manner, guaranteeing Mouser customers have access to the newest products and information at all times. • Verifies and maintains data integrity by confirming that systems/databases reflect accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date product information (i.e., descriptions and template locations, parametric information, ordering and delivery information, etc.) for suppliers. • Responds to the various Mouser teams and departments swiftly and with decisive customer-focused solutions. • Working within a Supplier Management Team, coordinates activities with suppliers and the many functional teams throughout Mouser by employing effective communication, project and resource management skills. Remains continuously up-to-date with policies, procedures and processes. • Demonstrates proficiency in the accountabilities, competencies and skills of the Product Specialist role. • Executes all other tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by the management team. SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS • Has an acceptable driving record and can provide a current, valid driver’s license and current proof of insurance • Functional knowledge of purchasing, inventory management, and internal company systems • Able to pass a skill evaluation with 80% accuracy in the following: Excel, Data Checking, Math, Spelling/Vocabulary, and typing 35 WPM. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE • High School or General Education Degree (GED) required. Bachelor’s degree in a Business discipline preferred. • Five plus years’ applicable work experience (e.g. Procurement, Product Marketing, Product Management) in a related industry preferred with a demonstrated history of successful performance.
