Supply Chain Analyst
Job Title: Supply Chain Analyst

Job Location: Newark, NJ


Primary Purpose of the Role  

To monitor and manage key customers’ container movements by working with multiple key stakeholders, such as carriers, truckers, & warehouses to ensure efficient inland transportation at origin for First Mile Management and destination for Final Mile Management

Responsibilities

First & Final Mile Management (Account Specific)Capability of utilizing visibility tools, daily reporting, exception management processes and problem resolution. Daily monitoring of key milestones received from ocean carriers and follow up as needed for missing milestones. Work with truckers and carriers as needed for updates for container deliveries, missing milestones, and exception management. Identify, understand, and document current business reporting processes.Create, document, and implement transferrable systems of optimized KPI and Metrics reporting.Perform report analysis as required with supervisory instructions.Effectively execute ancillary duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics or Computer Science.General Knowledge of international supply chain concepts and execution tactics.General Knowledge of import / export processesReporting and BI toolkit knowledgeCustomer facing communication skillset.Applied critical reasoning skills.Ability to express and explain complex concepts effectively and efficiently (verbal and written).High level of computer literacy with demonstrated proficiency in:MS AccessMS ExcelMS VisioMS PowerPointMS WordStrong analytical and organizational skills.Ability to learn quickly with a bias for action.High degree of professionalism, dedication and attention to detail.Must be flexible and comfortable with work in fast paced client centric environment.Ability to work independently, overcome obstacles and assure customer satisfaction.
