Supply Chain Analyst - Freight Audit and Pay

The Supply Chain Analyst - Freight Audit and Pay will assist in the audit, payment, reporting, and analysis for Ferguson’s annual freight spend exceeding $700 million! **Location:** Newport News, VA. Hybrid schedule: In office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and Remote Monday and Friday. In this role you will complete daily payment and audit analysis, in our third-party system, that will process invoices and respond to inquiries for all modes of freight, including spall parcel, truckload, LTL, ocean, brokerage, and customs. **Job duties:** + Drives and delivers analysis, concept development, planning and successful execution of Freight, Audit and Pay that drives efficiency and effectiveness in our supply chain. + Drives collaborations with suppliers and key partners internally and externally, supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain Freight, pay and audit of our 3rd party vendors. + Execution of transactional data by freight audit provider required to support monthly Invoicing process. + Verifies that goods or services are delivered, adjusting for returns, and other clerical activities. + Collates numeric information for inclusion in reports to management relative to payables and receivables activity. + Coordinates with invoice originating departments to verify information prior to approving a payment check on the computerized system. + Assist in the completion and provision of monthly accrual to leadership, finance and accounting with transparency of freight expense (actual & projected). + Address, report, and resolve areas of risk or weakness in Ferguson’s compliance to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act + Assist in analysis of monthly P&L for Freight, leading the narrative for root cause and trend analysis for variances or issues **QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS** + Proven experience in supply chain, finance, or distribution analysis + Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Logistics, Mathematics, or similar subject area + Proficient and comfortable working in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables Power BI + Comfortable working in and cross reverencing across multiple Excel workbooks and Power BI. + Transportation Analysis expertise to include LTL, Truckload, Parcel, and broad Supply Chain exposure in a high-volume environment + Experience with 3rd party Freight, Pay and Audit systems such as US Bank At Ferguson, we care for each other.
