Job Summary
Provide process improvement and data analysis/procurement modeling support to the Supply Chain team and other key Supply Chain stakeholders within Lexington Medical Center (LMC), including the Physician Network. Support and maintain Supply Chain Management systems to maximize effectiveness of Financial and Supply Chain business operations by working collaboratively with all internal Supply Chain customers as well as stakeholders within LMC. Assists operation subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity regarding sourcing of medical products, utilization trends, RFP response modeling, KPI dashboarding, verification of procedures to be performed, and portfolio/service line analysis of savings, spend, and the schedule to which both occur. Responsible for maintaining service line portfolio integrity regarding data, price, Payor mix, utilization, and products brought into LMC via the Value Analysis process.
Minimum QualificationsMinimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, Procurement, Computer Science, or Related Field.
Minimum Years of Experience: 3 Years of Experience in a Combination of Supply Chain Management in Related Business Services Area or Applications/Analytics experience in a Medium to Large Organization.
Substitutable Education & Experience: In lieu of Bachelor's Degree and 3 Years of Experience, will consider either of the following combinations:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field with 8 years’ of related experience in relevant business system area (Finance, Accounting, Material Management, or Inventory Management).
Required Certifications/Licensure: None
Required Training: Advanced Excel and/or report writing skills;
Strong Query/SQL skills and other database query and reporting tools;
Proficiency using Oracle/PeopleSoft or related procurement software;
Strong understanding of Financial, Clinical or Supply Chain processes and data
Duties & Responsibilities Apply critical thinking skills and quantitative analysis to detect and measure business trends. Interpret data to "tell a story" by providing actionable insights. Resolve problems and recommends solutions through research, inquiry and data analysis maintaining logs and tracking of issues. Tracks savings from the shelf to the "GL" as well as provide financial support including trending analysis and benchmark comparisons to the Cost Containment, Value Analysis, and Surgical and Procedural Sites Committees. Develop strong working relationships with clinical leaders in the hospital and throughout the physician network. Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Provided ad hoc reports from key systems as requested. Help maintain data integrity through use of systems audits, running queries and analyzing data. Identifies reports and develops report specifications for report writers to meet the needs of the application user. Periodically audits Supply Chain Services data to ensure conformance with hospital policies and interdepartmental performance standards. Analyze Supply Chain processes, make recommendations for improvements and assist in evaluation and selection of new software solutions to maintain and enhance business operations. Evaluates current and prospective analytical tools related to Clinical Modeling within Supply Chain. Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts regarding data analysis technique & reporting Reports directly to the VP of Supply Chain, LMC Performs all other duties as assigned and other duties as may be assigned by authorized personnel or as required in an emergency, e.g., fire, disaster.
