Supply Chain Analytics Engineer

Drive data analytic initiatives in the automation of a digital supply chain using  
visualizations and stories.

Create and deliver internally data reporting solutions and visualizations.

Define system requirements (such as requirements for interface design to support a global user base) and coordinate with the Information Technology (IT) department as needed.

Craft and build specialized business intelligence solutions that answer key business questions on semiconductor industry.

Deliver high-quality data, support, and availability of our information  
assets. Analyze and define functional requirements of the user story  
(requirements) and acceptance criteria.

Design and deliver reporting and analytic solutions using Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence tools, SAP  Hana/Business Objects and/or Tableau. Complete unit testing, participate in code review, document solution delivery, and coordinate deployment.

Drive effective agile project management through active engagement in the scrum development process.

Provide functional support to business team members during testing  
and deployment phase. Deliver effective, high-value reporting solutions by using  an established delivery methodology. 

 

You will be responsible for creating and delivering data reporting solutions and visualizations that are consumed by a wide audience including business leaders, business analysts & planners, and suppliers. You will work with Global Supply Chain internal business partners to define system requirements (such as requirements for interface design to support a global user base) and coordinating with the Information Technology (IT) and Smart Manufacturing and AI (SMAI) departments as needed.  

As a team, we craft and build specialized business intelligence solutions that answer key Global Supply Chain business questions on the semiconductor industry. We strive to deliver value to the organization through the visibility of data through metrics, dashboards, analytics, and reporting. We seek to deliver high-quality data, support, availability of our information assets and activities related to:

Supply Chain Business Requirements Gathering:

Engage with internal Global Supply Chain business users to gather requirements for BI solutions.

Understand the context and purpose of supply chain data analysis.

Translate Global Supply Chain business needs into technical specifications.

Supply Chain Dashboard and Report Development:

Design and create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI.

Customize dashboards to meet specific internal Global Supply Chain business use cases.

Ensure usability and accessibility for Global Supply Chain internal end-users.

Prototyping and Proof of Concepts:

Create rapid prototypes or mock-ups of potential Global Supply Chain BI solutions.

Test and validate new ideas, visualizations, or data models.

Collaborate with Global Supply Chain stakeholders to refine prototypes based on feedback.

Operational Support Activities:

Monitor and maintain existing Global Supply Chain BI solutions, ensuring data accuracy and availability.

Address user inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely support.

Perform data refreshes, schedule report deliveries, and manage access permissions.

Technical Implementation:

Write SQL queries to extract transform and load data from data warehouses and other data sources to reporting tools for analysis of Global Supply Chain business cases.

Collaborate with IT and SMAI data engineers to build efficient data pipelines for downstream Global Supply Chain reporting and analytics.

Continuous Learning and Innovation:

Stay updated on Supply Chain and BI tools, techniques, and industry trends.

Explore new ways to enhance reporting efficiency and effectiveness.

Optimize existing Global Supply Chain reports and dashboards based on user feedback.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with Global Supply Chain business subject matter experts, data scientists, and other internal stakeholders.

Bridge the gap between technical (IT, SMAI) and non-technical (Global Supply Chain business) teams.

Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:

Investigate data-related issues, troubleshoot discrepancies, and propose solutions.

Address performance bottlenecks in Global Supply Chain BI systems.

Global Supply Chain Data and Reporting Governance and Security:

Ensure compliance with Micron data governance policies.

Implement security measures to protect sensitive Micron data.

Monitor access controls and permissions to Global Supply Chain data.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Business Intelligence Analyst related occupation.
