Supply Chain Assistant
Description We are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Assistant to join a manufacturing team in Saint Paul, Minnesota. In this role, you will have a wide array of responsibilities, including processing orders, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders. You will also play a key role in coordinating with the finance department for month-end sales closure. Responsibilities: • Efficiently handling the entire order fulfillment process to guarantee customer satisfaction • Timely and accurate order entry, following all company document control procedures • Maintaining clear and up-to-date customer communication for everyday order processing • Building and nurturing long-term relationships with customers as the primary point of contact for the customer replenishment team • Coordinating with finance on month-end sales closure as necessary • Promptly entering all external sales orders in the system with accuracy and in compliance with all company document control procedures • Regularly posting sales orders, investigating shortages or overages, documenting, and communicating as required with all internal and external stakeholders • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve customer order-related issues and meet customers’ expectations on order fulfillment • Using your skills in Purchase Orders, Purchase Requests, Buying Processes, Accounts Payable (AP), and Microsoft Excel to enhance the efficiency of order processing and fulfillment. *Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry • Proficiency in handling Purchase Orders and Purchase Requests • Demonstrable knowledge of Buying Processes in a manufacturing setting • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) operations • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with various departments • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate potential issues in the supply chain • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
