Who You Are

The Global Supply Chain (GSC) team is seeking a Subcontract Management Staff, Level 3

Every day will be unique as you tackle shortages and resolve supplier performance issues. In this role, you will make a difference to our bottom line by controlling costs through negotiation and ensuring on-time delivery.

What You Will Be Doing

The selected candidate will be a part of the Advanced Development Program (Skunkworks) Procurement team for major systems.

As the Subcontract Administrator, you will be responsible for developing subcontract specifications, reviewing work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of major systems, complex parts and services for subcontracts in support of development, production, and global sustainment for multiple contract types. Your responsibilities will include:

• Prepares bid packages for procurements

• Conducts bidders' conferences, develops evaluation criteria, analyzes and evaluates proposals

• Negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends general contractors and subcontractors, writes subcontract packages for review, prepares awards and administers resulting subcontracts

• Negotiates terms and conditions and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.

• Participates with contracts administration and purchasing to develop subcontract policies and procedures.

• Performs analysis of previous/current contracts, pricing, and trends to ensure reasonable prices and suggests changes as necessary.

• Resolves vendor disputes, contract / invoicing discrepancies, and performance issues.

• May sign supplier agreements and purchase orders within established authority.

• Some travel and on-site presence may be required as necessary.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access, and candidate will need to possess the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance, after hire.

AeroSCM
Basic Qualifications:
• Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures (associated knowledge of FAR / DFAR requirements)

• Buyer experience working US DoD contracts

• Communication, Organization and project management experience

• Problem solving experience

• Self- Motivated

• Experience in a team enviornemnt
Desired Skills:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university

• Experience with with development contract

• Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures such as Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP)

• Experience working with a cross-functional team

• Experience managing major suppliers

• Cross-functional knowledge of Supplier Quality and Engineering as they relate to subcontract management

• Security Clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
