Position Summary

Plug Power Inc. is actively seeking a highly motivated student to join our team. The student will be responsible for assisting the Supply Chain Operational Excellence in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of your academic studies and interests. In this role, you will gain exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment which includes developing a detailed understanding of Plug Power’s products. The role will focus on process improvement projects across multiple departments in Supply Chain.  Defining new procedures, robust reports, and system tools that will make work across Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, and Inventory more efficient in the day-to-day practices.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Support Process Improvement Initiatives: Assist in identifying, analyzing, and improving processes to enhance efficiency across supply chain departments.Define New Procedures: Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) that optimize day-to-day practices in planning, purchasing, logistics, and quality.Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and present data to support decision-making and process optimization efforts.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with supply chain teams to understand challenges and implement solutions tailored to departmental needs.Contribute to System Development: Participate in creating and testing robust systems for improving workflow and efficiency within the supply chain.Learn Plug Power Operations: Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the company’s operations, products, and supply chain dynamics.

Education and Qualification

Pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master’s in Supply Chain or a related programMust have reliable transportation to the officeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent data mining skills and use of Microsoft Suite, Smartsheet, or other systems that provide industry solutionsPossess solid hands-on approach to problem-solving and critical thinkingDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailExcellent follow-through Must be driven and self-motivated
