Are you ready to make a significant impact on a global scale? Dow is offering an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Design Specialist. This role can be based in Terneuzen (The Netherlands), Midland (MI, United States), Sao Paolo (Brazil), or Navi-Mumbai (India).
As a Supply Chain Design Specialist, you will be at the forefront of driving supply chain improvements across various businesses and regions. Your mission will be to enhance business value, economic profit, cash flow, and customer service through innovative supply chain solutions. You will leverage Dow’s cutting-edge IT infrastructure to design, build, test, and deploy data-driven solutions, providing greater insights faster. Additionally, you will play a key role in educating and influencing Dow’s teams to drive change and expand technical capabilities in analytics and reporting.
Responsibilities
+ Lead and Participate in Diverse Projects: Engage in exciting projects that combine optimization and simulation techniques.
+ Develop Analytic Models: Design, develop, and deliver models, findings, and reports to quantify business performance and evaluate operational changes.
+ Consult and Build Relationships: Collaborate with executives, managers, business users, and developers to drive impactful solutions.
+ Data Extraction and Analysis: Gather and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to provide actionable insights.
+ Effective Communication: Create and deliver presentations and reports that clearly communicate insights, with a focus on storytelling.
+ Team Collaboration: Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and objectives.
+ Professional Development: Continuously seek opportunities for growth and expansion of your analytical and consulting skills.
+ Global Experience: Gain valuable experience by working with different businesses and geographies.
Qualifications
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
+ Experience: 1 year of relevant experience in supply chain planning, inventory management/replenishment, transportation, and risk management is preferred.
Your Skills
+ Supply Chain Optimization: Basic knowledge of supply chain optimization and simulation techniques.
+ Programming Skills: Experience with programming and data processing (SAS, Python, R, etc.), Familiarity with big data (Teradata, Hadoop, SQL Server, etc.) is a plus.
+ Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to tell a story with data. Proficiency in developing reports using platforms like PowerBI and Tableau.
+ Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
+ Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
+ Independent Action: Ability to take independent actions and influence events to achieve results.
