Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Director of the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Team with oversight of three teams responsible for the compliant negotiation and procurement of all on-prem, SaaS, and cloud software for GDIT. The director will have three direct manager reports with approximately six sourcing specialists on each team.

The director is responsible for mentoring and monitoring the team to drive strategic analysis and negotiation of cost savings, agreement terms that ensure proper risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.

This is hybrid role that allows for partial work from home reporting to the Falls Church, VA office.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Oversees procurements for our government programs (direct) and internal customers (indirect).

Identifying areas where the sourcing and procurement process is delayed or could be improved and creating a process that mitigates those challenges

Drive results from our sourcing teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure that GDIT continues to achieve the highest level of compliance, cost savings goals, and process efficiencies while maintaining our commodity structure.

Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer of the procurement process and negotiation techniques related to the procurement of software, cloud, and Saas products.

Ensure all sourcing execution adheres to GDIT’s internal compliance standards and all government contracting regulatory requirements, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

Responsible for all aspects of staffing and personnel management; including coaching, mentoring, training, professional development, and compliance with policy, process, and procedures.

Partnering with our stakeholders to ensure high visibility projects are executed in accordance with deadlines.

Maintain a professional relationship with suppliers while promoting company initiatives and values.

Collaborate and partner with our internal supply chain teams (category management, SCM Operations, Risk Management) and our external stakeholders to complete high visibility projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelors and 6+ years of experience or 4+ additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree

6+ Years in Commercial or FAR Regulated Supply Chain Experience (must have a minimum of 3 years in government contracting or software procurement) with in-depth knowledge of direct procurement requirements

Experience in conducting complex agreement negotiations with supplier executives, managing complex RFPs, developing strategic sourcing approaches, conducting total cost of ownership analyses, designing cost containment strategies, conducting market research, and performing process improvement within corporate Supply Chain Management organizations.  

In-depth negotiation experience as it relates to the Information Technology Space; End User License Agreements, contractual negotiations including pricing, and key terms and conditions negotiations.

Experience in process analysis, applying best procurement process practices, and continuous process improvement.

Experience in written/oral communications at all levels of the company.

Location: Hybrid--MUST be able to go into the Falls Church, VA office at least once a week.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

This position supports a contract that requires U.S. Citizenship.

The likely salary range for this position is $161,158 - $178,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
