Supply Chain Engineer

Responsible for supporting Micron’s business strategies by continuously monitoring and re-designing process, data, and supply planning systems. Collaborate with internal customers to arrive at aligned business strategies. Highlight and drive resolution to supply chain planning issues and align the capabilities of the software and technology used within Micron systems for planning and execution i.e., Enterprise Supply Planning, Rapid Response, Long Term Planning, Capable To Match, SAP PR1, Tableau, SAP HANA) to the business needs. Address requests from partners and customers to enable faster decision making. Support Process Design, Analysis, and Alignment by creating As-I and To-Be business processes for various Supply Chain functions. Collaborate with business partners to document their respective processes. Develop project definition, scope, timelines, and expected deliverables. Create functional design documentation, data requirements and provide to developers as required. Define system requirements and coordinate with Information Technology subject matter experts as needed to define business partner requirements. Participate in process, system change and define testing and training scenarios. Discuss and communicate potential impacts to business stakeholders due to system changes (including business values and risks). Evaluate testing results and work with Development team to adjust systems as needed. Monitor or report on project status to partners and stakeholders. Support project and new systems implementation including training of business users. Oversee or provide project closure. Building optimization models using large data sets. Validating input data for completeness and accuracy. Conduct internal and external research to identify benchmarks and set target for key performance index like Fill Rate metrics, Unconstraint Unmet demand, on time completion of order confirmation. Determine best practices for Supply Chain area of focus and implement after cross functional collaboration and alignment across teams. Analyze and present results of the analysis, trends observed there in, conclusions, and recommendations to process stakeholders and leadership. Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Supply Chain Engineer-related occupation. Position requires: 1. Supply Chain Design and Modelling Principles 2. SQL coding and tools like SAP HANA, Python 3. Queueing theory, lean, theory of constraints, Little’s Law 4. Math Modelling and Optimization techniques including Linear, Non-Linear, and Mixed Integer. 5. Reporting tools: Tableau and Power BI 6. Statistical analysis and data analysis techniques 7. Kinaxis Rapid Response The US base salary range that Micron Technology, Inc. estimates it could pay for this full-time position is $142,293.00 - $171,000.
